The Central Indiana Orchid Society typically meets monthly, on the fourth Sunday of the month at 1:30pm unless otherwise noted. The meeting location is the classroom at the Garfield Park Conservatory, 2505 Conservatory Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46223.
2024
October 27th
Join us back at the Garfield Park Conservatory in Indianapolis at 1:30pm for our regular society meeting. We will have a talk about a recent donation of orchid art and botanical drawings to the society and plans for the annual Christmas bingo event. Plant of the Month is back – bring your in-flower orchids to show off and possibly win a gift card!
November 24th
We will have flask babies of various genera that were selected earlier in the year, along with culture information for each of them. You will need to be a paid-up member to receive plants from the flasks.
The final Plant of the Month will also be happening – bring your in-flower orchids to show off and potentially win a gift card!
Finally we need to nominate new society officers for 2025. Please help the society thrive and volunteer for positions including President and Vice President.
December 8th
December 8th will be our annual Christmas Bingo event! The society will bring meat, drinks and supplies. All members are invited to bring a dish of their choice to share for the potluck lunch starting at noon.
Then we will play our annual bingo game to win plants from a great selection we have ordered from Carmela’s, Palmers and New Vision.
You will need to be current on your 2024 dues to play bingo. Bingo tickets are $10 per individual.

CIOS meeting at Garfield Conservatory at 1:30pm. Russ Vernon will speak about orchid hybridizing at New Vision Orchids.

CIOS meeting at Garfield Conservatory at 1:30pm. Topics include a webinar on Jewel Orchids, planning for the April CIOS Show and Plant of the Month.
