The Central Indiana Orchid Society typically meets monthly, on the fourth Sunday of the month at 1:30pm unless otherwise noted. The meeting location is the classroom at the Garfield Park Conservatory, 2505 Conservatory Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46223.

January 28th
Monthly meeting: Orchid deflasking workshop. Learn how to deflask baby orchids and pot them up for success. We will also have Plant of the Month.
February 25th
Monthly meeting: Fred Clarke of Sunset Valley Orchids will be joining us for a Zoom meeting to give his talk:
“Cycnoches, Mormodes, Catasetums recent trends”
A review of the amazing world of Catasetinae. A lively and entertaining presentation, amazing pictures and the making of Fredclarkeara After Dark ‘the blackest orchid seen.’ Also includes a thorough review of plant culture.
We will also have Plant of the Month and Plant Show and Tell. So, bring in your favorite in-flower beauties.
March 23rd & 24th
We will be participating in the Greater Cincinatti Orchid Show. We will need plants dropped off to Lowell’s house by March 20th.

April 2oth & 21st
We will be putting on our annual Spring Orchid Show and Plant Sale at the Garfield Park Conservatory in Indianapolis. We have several Midwest orchid societies, other organizations and orchid vendors contributing beautiful displays. After strolling your way through the lobby and conservatory displays, shop with our plant vendors. There will be lots of gorgeous orchids to see in bloom in the displays and lots of plants you can purchase from our society table and vendors. The American Orchid Society will be judging on Saturday morning.
